An incredibly ancient cleaver. Restoration of an old knife

Today I want to show you a video about the restoration of an unbelievable ancient knife, according to approximate forecasts, it is more than 200 years old. He was very lucky that he was lying in an old house and was not in a humid environment, otherwise he would have already rotted.
At the thickest point, its thickness reached 2.5x millimeters, but apparently, it was about 5 mm thick and rust ate more than half of the metal thickness

u could use pins for handle, and its needed better edge u just sharpen the blade like its new

It's not perfect, but you did a decent job with what you had. i'm not a perfect restorer myself. as long as you keep doing what you're doing, you'll slowly notice your skill to increase (like a game if you like). it feels really rewarding noticing how much better you are than when you started. keep it up, and good job 👍
