Leveled books need to be leveled meticulously and accurately in order for students to be independent in their reading. We have created a short video to explain our process for leveling books at reading levels A through D, as these are crucial reading levels for beginner readers. Our Lead Curator and former dual language teacher, Marie Bouteillon, will walk you through a dozen books at these lower levels to explain the criteria she considers when leveling, and how to effectively teach at each reading level.
