As a 13 year old boy in 1949, I heard Ray Charles sing “A Sinner’s Prayer” on AM - FM wasn’t available then. I was in my home town of Alton, Illinois & I listened to the black stations in St Louis because this white boy couldn’t take Bing Crosby, Perry Como or Tennis Shoe Ernie! I’m now 84 & I’ve been to two Joe Bonamassa concerts! I have a lady friend who calls me her Blues Guru😊
