I noticed how the Cerberi have completely redone animations as well. They move a lot like stop motion characters now, which goes really well with their overall theme of being living statues. It reminds me of the Talos scene from the Argonauts, which, intentional or not, is cool as hell (is full).

I like how no one is talking about the new crusher sounds (or the other smaller revamps like the footsteps. OH AND THE FACT THAT CERB CAN GET CHUNKS OF THEIR BODY BLOWN OFF-)

I really love the ending. The huge amount of empty space present and the far away hellevators makes it seem like we are far below what we would call underground at this point.

I like how towards the end of the video in where the bosses are defeated. There were multiple pillars that (most likely) contain elevators down into hell like the one we go through as the player. It really does show that we aren’t the only ones down here which makes our journey feel less important…

Can’t wait for the revamped levels!

I know there’s people complaining about these updates instead of work being done on layer 8 but this was a very good move and will make the completed game feel like one piece of work than a sequence of smaller projects put together (the old prologue and layer 7 were so technically different it may as well have been a separate game)
