DCS F/A-18C - Inherent Resolve Campaign - Mission 4: The Damned

This mission took quite a few attempts to not fail miserably. I either didn't refuel in time... watched A.I. jets fly into each other... or Zeus got destroyed with no idea of who was still shooting at them... It's very frustrating compared to the previous missions.
I did manage to RTB after this video ends but it was a long, boring flight. I had just enough fuel to make it.

Ahhh the most frustrating and difficult thing to learn: Aerial refueling, I literally managed to do it an hour ago in another campaign, I've never felt more proud of myself

I’m glad they added tanking. It’s so fun once you get the hang of it. Still I agree for a beginner campaign it might be to advanced for some.

man wthis mission tough, I replayed for three hours and when I almost made it I went winchester on the LAST F*CKING HELI...

I was doing fine on my first attempt, then my VR gave out right as I was to push to enemy Airfield...Trying to fix and DCS crashed... Maddening! My only tanking hiccup was not realizing I was cleared to the right drogue, not the left lol

ey, did you change your loadout? I start the mission with 4 bombs and rockets, no MAVS :(

Yuck 🤮, only 4 missions in and they require you to air to air refuel. Seems a bit too early for such an advanced thing. Maybe it was optional if you can finish the mission without rtbing.
