Tbh the official Xbox headset is my favorite. No dongle required and my favorite part is that the headset turns off when you power off the console. All you have to do is pair it to the console just like a controller.

Personally I wouldn't use anything to cover the vents I tried it on top of my Xbox series X and not so much air was getting out and obviously it made it warmer so it could damage your console a good thing I tested it out
