We can’t live forever, but we sure will miss him and his sound. Preceded by most of the band if not all. Love his compositions/song writing. Enjoy your “Blue Sky” road.

DAMM hate when we lose a legend like him. He gave us music that will live on forever. Time to play that southern rock in the northern skies.

Big loss for the southern rock sound! I'll be 62 yrs old in the next couple of days, less than 30 my brother would of been 72 he passed away from Cancer
My sister in law never told me until he died I never knew he was sick we were what we called
" silent run" when our wives are mad at each other, so we didn't talk for 2 yrs.The Allman Brothers were one of his favorite bands, never missing a show when they came to Philly. I know he was waiting there to hear
him play. My brother is the reason rock n roll music is
My first true love, even before my wife.

Saw them in Chicago in 92... When they walked onstage they looked small from where I sat... When they walked off at the end of the show THEY WERE GIANTS! Dickey blew me away, unbelievable guitar, will never forget that show. Little Feat opened, I snuck in. Tinley Park. Awesome times

I will always remember that song and that well known guitar solo. Me and my buddies would all play air guitar when it came on. We are all African American. Thank you Mr. Dickey Betts, God bless you for eternity.🙏🏽 🫡
