The premier was awesome! I am so glad Thomas and Juliette are finally together and they didn't over play it, as they kept the original format of solving a case but added a little sexyness to add some spice. Perfect!

Remakes of original programs NEVER are as good as the originals. This Magnum PI series no different.
Tom Selleck’s portral of Thomas Magnum was larger than life.
Jay Hernandez is a good actor, but he is no Tom Selleck. In my mind I compare the two, whether that is fair or not.
NBC has spent a lot of commercial time promoting the move of Magnum PI to NBC. So I guess they are banking on a lot of people watching it.
Hollywood and the folks who do TV show have no original ideas.
That us why they have to reboot these old shows. But they cannot reproduce the originals. The originals are good, because they were original.
It is possible to use a similar theme without reboots. For example, CBS took some of the premice for NYPD Blue and created East New York. Though somewhat similar, it is not the same.
In a year or two, they can move the present Magnum PI to ABC or Fox, for all I care.

Ugh What is with the Hallmark type sappy music and dialogue?Terrible. I tried to muscle through one show and could not stomach it. So sad and definitely NOT Magnum.
