Ebay estimates that the average household in the UK has around £4, 000 worth of items that could be sold, that incudes everything from electronics and clothing to collectables and household goods, i imagine going over that or having a shop, or selling duplicate items will point you out to the algorithms and then you will get the email.

I prefer the beard Nic…. Makes you look a combo of rugged/distingushed

worst thing ebay ever did was the 'leave until sold or cancelled' listings as people can just leave stuff on ebay for ever... going round and round...

I'll Tell You what the future holds, , Charity Shops Have Wised Up, , and will pull all and go online, , Prices are highly inflated thanks to these online rinsers showing off for profit, , no little kid gets a little toy for 50p anymore, , , or the Mother clothes she REALLY NEEDS Fact.

Vinted have also introduced small electrical items and it is becoming really competitive 😮😮😮 There are a high number of electrical items being sold and prices seem to be extremely competitive 😮

I don't have a Youtube channel so I don't have to be as diplomatic. Businesses that pose as private sellers are dishonest, and they are avoiding their legal obligations under trading laws and some don't declare their taxable earnings to HMRC. They also are able to undercut honest business sellers who play by the rules because a private seller's overheads are lower.

Regarding whatnot, the ironic thing is that Ebay was a site set up for live sales and over 20 years its just turned into a giant jumble sale meets amazon which is a shame. I dont know why they've never really seemed to push the auction thing but it was what got me using the site and its still exciting. Resellers never mention the format either. I'd love to see the stats for what percentage of sales sold via auction vs buy it now then compared to now as I bet its 90-10 which has probably flipped over 20 years. For wanting to sell a lot of items fast there is no better way. Its better suited to used markets and as someone with literally no room at home but self storage I love to do 100 auctions in a night and then post them, means no picking or storage, straight out of a bag for life and into a mailer which again I can buy when needed. No dribbles of cash and everything gone in 1 go, whatever doesnt sell on auction just bulk it off local. I guess you get less than potential but I always feel like I have more cash in the bank selling on auctions vs buy it nows. I dont know if it costs EBay more to run auctions or what as I dont really understand why they give less and charge more in shop packages vs buy it nows. I do still use all my buy it nows but on cds and 7" singles which use absolutely no room, literally a bookcase behind a door.

Hello from Blackpool, clothes are 70% of our sales, on the subject of holidays, how many can you have before it affects sales? Thanks

When you had your beard you actually looked like my dad who passed away in 2016 that’s what got me watching you.

Phoned and asked about clothing categories included. And shoes are not included in free listings for business sellers. 😮

Love you guys
Thank you for all this eBay updates.
Still feel the business sellers are being stiffed .
Free Listing on used clothing. Totally useless to most off us. They might as well have offered us free listing on Moondust.
What’s your opinions on whether they will introduce charges for buyers in the New Year?

Just checked and we haven't been sent an invite either to list used clothes for free. MInd you we don't sell much in the clothing section anyway so no great deal.

I just took it as being across the board and open to every business seller.

When you say free for private sellers, are you referring a a listing fee or the financial transaction fee?

Those who weather the storm will come out the other end laughing. Leaving Ebay now is an emotional reaction that many will come to regret. Never get emotional, especially in business.. just pivot if necessary.
