Should have left in the rant, kids love those things. I loved this book, what I love about literary thrillers like this is the way the author is able to teach the reader something (in this case literary criticism, linguists and philosophy) while writing a fast pace plot heavy novel. I think Umberto Eco and Javier Marías also do this very well.

As the great Foucault would say, _”The first rule of logos club is, you don’t talk about logos club”_

I loved that quotation about god being a bad novelist as well. . . . God is Franzen? I loved to see David Lodge's Morris Zapp being reincarnated.
