Yes i myself just started to read Genesis. A lot of people will tell you to read the new testament. But I felt the Lord Leading me to start from the beginning. Glad I.

When I was just a new Christian, I started to read the Bible from the beginning, The Old Testament, Genesis until the last book of The New Testament which is The Revelation.
And in God’s Grace, He opened my eyes and my mind and helped me to understand why He sent Jesus Christ in The New Testament. I saw the connection between The Old to The New Testament FOR REAL!
And mind you bros. and sisters, I AM NOT FOND IN READING BOOKS SINCE I WAS A KID! For me, reading books was “boring” for me and I’m having hard time understanding what I am reading. I am more of a visual type of person when I try to read books. I like to read if there’s pictures in it.

And for the first time in my whole life, only The Bible made me understand or comprehend what I am reading from cover to cover and literally while reading His Word, I felt like my eyes or sense of sight suddenly became brighter literally! NO KIDDING!
IT IS GOD’S MIRACLE! His Holy Spirit guided me to understand His Word even though I’m just a new Christian that time.

God will direct a person where to read if they pray first before opening the bible. But also, the journey each person has in their faith and their walk with God is different. There is no right or wrong way to be in the word. The point is to open His Word, pray and be open to hearing what He needs you learn at that moment. The Holy Spirit will be a guide in your journey.

I started reading my Bible a week ago, I work 12-14 hours a day 7 days a week so I don’t get tons of time to read but I get a few hours here and there throughout the day. I just finished Genesis. WOW.
I am blown away. Read the Bible as you would any other book. Front to back. I think it’s alright to go and read a verse that you hear of so that you can see it with your own eyes but do not randomly read pages. Front to back like any other book. Amen!

Just read Ephesians chapter 2 yesterday and was so blown away by how deep it is! Thats the difference between milk and meat and having grown over the years and being ready for that meat! Thank you Lord!

This has helped me though at the beginning. Just opening at the beginning and reading and then diving in. At times i just needed a encouragement or a answer to my situation or the truth about what the word says about it. His right the first book I read on this earth was the bible at 5 years old. People always said I was wise beyond my years. I would dream and see things prophetically out of nowhere. It ended up making me depress for years because I was too advanced for kids my age which end up making me lonely.

I literally just read this passage today on my way to work and I was randomly reading. Thinking I would just understand what is being said. Of course I was wrong, I knew what the passage was saying about the milk but the rest flew straight over my head

Amen, 🙏🏽 so many people focus on the wrong things when they first get saved, but what you’re saying is so true, we have to first grasp what just happened to us, then we have to grasp the meaning of salvation and why we’re saved and the promises God makes to us, people automatically jump in trying to become perfect, not realizing this Christian walk is a a WALK, and not a sprint .
