I like to think of "Red Swan" as the "ugly duckling" of the Attack on Titan openings. It was rejected for being different to the other openings on initial release. But as time passes, the song matured into something beautiful (like a swan), and more people accepted it as part of Attack on Titan's music.

This is still my favorite AOT opening. I remember when I saw it for the first time when S3 started airing, I hadn’t read the manga so I was confused why it was different. I was a bit angry at first, but I grew to love it more and more even before caving and reading the manga. Now it’s my favorite. The visuals, the hidden messages, the music, everything is perfect. It just gets more and more beautiful the more I watch it.

Even before season 4 I alwaya found this scene profoundly beautiful and sad. Eren had been so changed by the events of the show while hos younger self is so oblivious. The 'present' Eren enraptured by 'freedom' and broken by well everything.

I didn’t notice the first couple times watching but at 1:19, you see the warriors when they first get to Paradis. Interesting cause that wasn’t shown until Season 4.
