In my seventh installment in this book review series, I'm reviewing "Go Fundamentals" by Mark Bates and Cory LaNou. This book is very thorough, perhaps to a fault, making it probably a great second read for most Go newcomers

I was about to say this sounds like a great 2nd book. Great review, as always 👏🏾

I asked the Go developers in one of their Office Hours sessions about the one directory per package requirement. I was hoping to be able to use a directory tree, including subdirectories, for one package. Lance said there's nothing in the language spec that forbids this but the spec does say "an implementation may require that all source files for a package inhabit the same directory". He also said it would be a big deal to modify to Go tool chain to make this possible.
