Malayalam Cinema vs Bollywood (Part 2)

Major difference is that Mollywood accepts experimental movies
Rorschach, Kishkindha Kaandam, Kaathal, Bramayugam to name a few
But bollywood just likes masala type of stuffs
That's why great movies like maidaan, Chandu Champion, 83 failed

If you make a good watchable movie in any industry, definitely you will get the returns and every filmmaker knows it….
You will see hundreds of such movies in Bollywood which are not that commercial masala movies but entertaining ones..,
The fact is to make such a movie needs creativity and that is lacking in Bollywood industry for some reason..
At the same time, if you look at Malayalam industry 90 percent of its hit movies are such creative pieces….
So you guys need to find out why Bollywood lacks creativity although they know creative movies are acceptable by the audience…
Then some naive reason people say is that they need only masala movies… and it’s not true, then these Hindi speaking audience won’t like movies like Kumbalangi Nights, true right?

Your logic is slightly incorrect bro. There less money involved as compared to Bollywood because that is what feasible since there is a linguistic limitation geographically. In short lesser crowd available to watch as compared to Bollywood.

The reason why they make good film is because the audience are extremely selective when it comes to watching movies. Where as a shitty movie that runs for just a week in Bollywood is hit because there is a larger audience available.
