Twilight Monk is a visually stunning fantasy metroidvania game with strong RPG elements!

A big thank you to the developer, Aquatic Moon Games, for providing me with a review copy of Twilight Monk!

Twilight Monk is based on the series of books of the same name and follows Raziel, a young monk living in the Monastery of Crescent Island, a place that is part of the land of Speria. Soon, the realm finds itself threatened by total eradication after Nox, a traitor among the ranks of the monks, escapes captivity and vows to release a creature known as the World Eater from its prison. To do that, Nox will need to find three rings which, once gathered, will release the monstrous entity and spell the end of Speria. Thus, Raziel goes on a quest against time to find the rings first and keep his world from dying.

Heya, Soulsbourne Seeker! *Bows to you* Ive seen screenshots of this one for a while, but let it be known, it was you, who turned me onto this game with your commentary and in-depth analysis. I wanted to thank you for that. I just started playing it and I love the look, and the pacing of it, this is another solid mv title! After this, I got Inayah: Life After Gods to (hopefully) look forward to.
And just to mention, I started watching a guy called demajen, who does mv plays and reviews, and he did some really good in-depth playtesting of the upcoming mv Mandragora. In one of his later vids, believe from Gal Guardians; SotD, he mentions you, calls you a legend, and when I heard that, I went "Yeah. Soulsbourne Seeker most def deserves that title!". Just thought you should know, and thanks for all you do~

I've been tentatively excited for this one. Thanks for the review! I'll probably wait a bit to see more reviews, but it looks promising.

Absolutely great looking game, waiting for some time to see it in action, definitely buying. Only slight complain is no active map view while in the game, not a requirement but added help.

Thank you for this. Very comprehensive review. I was struggling to find much information and you covered pretty much everything I wanted to know.

Great review, as usual. Bought it thanks to this review. Your are positive but fair. You go into detail about what is important to someone interested in this kind of game. You do not sound like paid commercial, like some other indie game review youtubers. Keep up the good work, Sir!

Can't understand why developers think the lack of a convenient save game feature is a good thing. I understand it 'may' make the experience more stressful/challenging, but it also makes it incredibly frustrating and tiresome and for me, and maybe some others, it is a chief reason for not buying and/or completing a game. At least give the user an option to save at a convenient time/frequency and if they don't want to (to make it harder for themselves) then great, that's up to them. Anyhow...

Great review, keen to get into this one.

I will wait however as the completion length is a little too short to justify with lower funds ATM.

Seems like it still has some potential, but a tad undercooked with the combat. Looks like it could do with a charging attack, even if its a late game addition. Like being able to throw the hammer with a talisman, like you could by setting it on the ground and kicking it, but if you did it in a charged attack, you could throw it as far as even the screen, and it could be used to scale walls, or even hold a button down for whatever puzzles might be in the area.

Great review. I wonder if the Nintendo switch version is okay. I worry about input lag, low fps, long loading. Only because Souldiers was not good with the awkward lag with pressing buttons and cult of the lamb. Knight which has 2 minute loads.

Definitely interested, but unfortunately for this game, First Berserker comes out on the same day.

Nice. Will you also be doing Inayah: Life After Gods review?

I’m tempted but combat seems so simple unlike Nine Sols.

I wonder why they decided not to include an upward attack
