It’s honestly heart shattering this movie if you think about it, it shows that no matter how someone seems to be unstoppable it’s their age that catches up to them and the racing has moved on to the new generation which practically leave lightning behind for good and then he pushed himself to far and then the crash happened, although sometimes you don’t want to see yourself retire from something you love doing, sometimes.. it’s just best to let it go and live the rest of your life and although it may be tough sometimes it just is for the best, however I like how doc didn’t want to quit but was forced to which is something someone should never have to do, and lightning seemed to be going down that same path as doc but strived to stay in the game and it seems that he is still going strong even though he may have retired from racing by now
