BANGKOK's Upscale food center and Reasonable market | Thailand Street Food

Or Tor Kor Market (ตลาด อ.ต.ก.) is one of the nicest and cleanest fresh wet market in Bangkok. Imagine a local style outdoor market combined with an upscale indoor food supermarket and you've got Or Tor Kor.

Everything at the market is high quality - including all seafood, vegetables, fruit and even the cooked food as well.

It's a great place to get an interaction to the world of Thai food and ingredients without the hassles of being splashed by catfish or dodging motorcycles. Or Tor Kor Market (ตลาด อ.ต.ก.) is set up with nice clean and wide aisles that are brightly lit with fluorescent lighting.

One side of the market is full of fresh seafood and a few vendors selling meat. In the center of the market is a wide variety of fresh vegetables and a mouthwatering selection of fruit. Highest quality of durian is available year round and you can be sure it's stunning.

On the right side of the market is a nice food court of prepared Thai food. Though it's a little more expensive than other places in Bangkok, the food is absolutely stunning.

Pattana Property Market, on the other hand, offers a lot of common street food. Prices are still reasonable despite the recent high prices. It will be very interesting to have a real local experience in this place that many foreigners do not know much about.

Delicious and varied Thai seafood street food!

I lived in the Far East as a child hence love the culture, the people and the food. The Thais are a polite race, always smiling with impeccable manners. The food in Thailand and Malaysia is dead cheap to a Westerner and their hygiene of the highest. Thailand is not only good for food, but excellent for shopping too. Hotel accommodation is reasonably and what is 3 star here is 5 star there. Go and see for yourself, but avoid the high summer in April. Far too hot.

What day and what time of day did you go to Or Tor Kor market? When I was there in January, there were not a lot of food there only fruits.
