Chris Motto was the first chef to finish 4th in Hell’s Kitchen without ever being nominated for elimination.

In the last episode, he had no idea who to nominate, as it was difficult to decide who deserved to go home. He then revealed his plan to return to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to share the knowledge he had gained on the show and decided to nominate himself for elimination. Gordon Ramsey respected his opinion with a faith, welcoming him back any time he's ready.

After the show, he returned as the Executive Chef at Mansurs On The Boulevard in his hometown. He also organized cookery events to raise money for local charities and continuously improved the culinary scene in his community.

🥘 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨, 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨. 🧑🏼‍🍳

EDIT: I apologize for the mistake in “Baton Rouge” pronunciation at the end. It’s my mistake for not checking the narrator voice thoroughly. I do not mean to offend anybody and will be more careful on more shorts to come. Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for what my mistake could’ve caused. 🙏🏻

He didn't lose. He gone home, to teach, and they respected his decision. That's a WIN.

The fact that he earned the respect of Gordon is already incredible but doing it to share food and knowledge of food is a whole different part of a selfless act

This man is a legend. I feel like he would have won this season. He's that good but still humble

Proof that you don’t need to be a winner to be famous. Motto is one of my favorite chefs on the show and I hope he’s doing great

He won.
Out of all the seasons and all the cooks, he was the ultimate winner.

The man not only earned respect or Gordon, he has earned the respect of everyone

that is a man with integrity, making money at high end restaurants should not be the end goal of a chef. making good food and sharing knowledge so the next generation of chefs are better, is the end goal.

$250, 000 can be spent very quick when in business
But
Networking,
That stuff is priceless

He was there to gain knowledge and experience the art of cooking. I've never seen Gordon Ramsey more impressed by one chief before.

"He decided winning isn't the best for him."
I disagree.
*He won.*

He allowed someone else to win the amazing opportunity that the show represented while gaining Gordon's respect and this locking in a similar opportunity for himself later down the line when he felt like he had handled his business. Pure class, dignity, and honor.
