Day six of Browns training camp is in the books but not only did we have news from practice today, but we also had MAJOR stadium news, as the city of Cleveland put out their proposal to keep the Browns in downtown Cleveland. Our own Tony Grossi is here to break down ALL of the news from the day!

The idea that there would be a negative economic impact on the city if the Browns leave for Brookpark makes me laugh. The stadium is used ~12 times per year, including Browns games!! And many businesses are closed on Sunday when everyone is down there. There would be literally no perceivable impact.

The open air games were great for years, but it’s time for a new beginning that would be better for the entire region as a whole. Don’t get trapped by the lakefront in a shitty stadium for another 30 years.

This is so simple if u want a dome, wait a couple years until Burke closes then build it there. They have 2 wait until cuyahoga county airport gets longer runways then they can close Burke.

Do you still want the Browns to build a domed stadium in Brook Park?

If the Cleveland politicians and the Browns owners really want to make this “new” stadium work they could just make it work. The distance is not a big issue. Other cities have made it work and everyone was equally compensated . Dallas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, have made their stadium issues work . Cleveland is a cold weather environment and the outside stadium is not conducive for the fans to be comfortable. The city could use a dome stadium for more than football games if they either remodeled the existing stadium or built a new stadium in Brook Park. Greed is the main reason for the impasse, let’s face it! They could work this problem out if they both agree to compromise. We’ve seen this happen before. Maybe they should seek an outside arbitrator to help them work this out? Am I the only one who thinks this?

This isn't a 12 game season for decades now. A dome is the only option.

Jimmy Haslam "wants" a dome, not all the fans. I knew the minute a domed stadium was mentioned that that was Haslam's desire. I realize there are logistical issues with the current stadium, but those have ALWAYS existed. Why are they such a problem now? Sounds like Haslam's are using it as leverage. Call me traditional, but I like football in the "elements" and I like having the stadium on the lake front!

Yes! But as long as they stay the Cleveland Browns I'm happy.

What the majority of people dont understand this is less about the money and more about the Land. Haslem wants a large amount of Land he doesn't want a Dome he wants a CAMPUS with a DOME a part of the campus and Cleveland hasn't offered the amount of Land he wants for the project Cleveland has always shot themselves in the foot when it came to becoming a world class city and we have an opportunity to have a world class facility built in Cleveland where there will be events held every weekend let alone multiple superbowls which generates around a billion dollars in 2 weeks for the hosting city.

Brookepark is still in Cleveland, it’s just not downtown. They would still be the Cleveland Browns. It’s literally a 15-20 minute drive from downtown and a 15 minute RTA ride to tower city in downtown. Over reaction to say they’re being moved out of Cleveland. It’s just a 20 minute drive from where it is now.

Brookpark dome would be greatest thing since sliced bread. Take all the lakefront land and develop it for people to live and recreate all year long not just 12 games a year.

Sounds like the mayor is calling Jimmy's bluff. Haslam doesn't have $2B for a dome.

Why doesn't Cleveland throw the billion at Brook Park and the Haslam's put up the other half. The future is a dome, just get it done and stop arguing about it. The old stadium is not worth fixing. Just my thoughts.
