Hearing this makes me happy. Matt Bloom always comes across as extremely positive and encouraging whenever we get to see behind the scenes on anything NXT related. Good to know that's just him being himself and not acting for the cameras.

Coaches are meant to get the best out of the people they are helping, and for that you do not need fear you need honesty. You need them to be honest so you know what you did well, what you need to improve on, and what you need to stop. Yes there is yelling at times but it is because they need you to know things need to change. But if you don't trust your coach then it won't work. Have someone that yells because they are disappointed because they want you to be the best they envision you to be, because they love you rather than hate you.

Bloom came up in the Funkin Dojo if i remember correctly. And I've never heard a bad word about Dory's training. Some of that must've rubbed off on him. And being a big boy, i assume he played lots of football and had coaches there too

I hear about Matt Bloom and every time think of when i played football in high school, reminds me of my coach though he was a hardass that pushed you to and even passed the limit, but he reinforced everything you did right and told you without holding back exactly what you did wrong and how to get it right

Dax, how did you grow from having to deal with the uglier side of the business - i.e.: Bill DeMott experience, Young Bucks, etc.; I ask because you seem like such an earnest, idealistic person, which is a rare enough person to encounter, but after a career in wrestling, makes you a human unicorn.
