It was great to find an early promo copy of this record. It's mastered by Greg Calbi, and it sounds great. I found it at Dudley's Records in Torrance, CA. It's a small store tucked in the corner of strip mall, but it's got some good stuff.
Lennon was supposed to be in the same studio with Petty while he was recording Hard Promises, but the world lost Lennon at this time. In remembrance of him, original US copies of Hard Promises have - We Love You J.L. - etched into them.
