"I've been saying it wrong my whole life!"
"I couldn't care less."

And lots of native English speakers can’t even grasp this concept 😅

"I could care less means you care a bit"

Mike: "But I do care a little?"

Love your content! I am deaf and ASL is my first language. I love that you explain in such simple way that I could grasp much better.

Everyone I know says “I could care less” instead of “I couldn’t care less, ” but my whole entire life I thought saying “could” instead of “couldn’t” was correct because of my friends and family but this proved my point 😭😭

I'm non native and English is our second language in my country. I'm so glad I found this clip or should I say this channel? Cause I've already watched a lot.

This phrase really confuses me for the longest time before because it doesn't make sense to me, l always thought "l couldn't care less" makes more sense. Now I am happy this phrase is corrected and justified. ❤❤ Thank you. 😊

I'm a native English speaker (born and raised in South Carolina so some might disagree with this point) but I still love these videos. I don't know why but I really enjoy hearing her pronounce certain letters, like 'p' or the 'puh' sound. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I believe that phrase is a contradiction in itself. If you don't care, then you can easily ignore the event at hand. But you do, that is why you are responding. I suppose it depends on how you define the word 'care.'

My opinion is that both are acceptible because one is sarcastic.

I learned that there's a specific type of term for sentences with double negatives. Like "I couldn't do no more." couldn't and no being both "negative" but I forgot what's that term is.
