Hope I misheard you when you said "if you give them a quick lick first" because those are quite dangerous to ingest. Good idea tho for especially white controllers. Also side not you csn theoretically drench a controller/phone/computer in isopropyl alchohol as it is completely non conductive. Actually if you drop it in water my first suggestion for quick drying is to try and flush/rinse it wish isopropyl as it will displace the water if done correctly potential saving your device. Fishish with a hairdryer/heat gun and your good to go

thats the same as sand paper, use isopropyl alcohol instead, it doesnt damage any electric components, only the minerals in water can damage those

Bad advice the magic eraser will eventually eat the coating off of the controller and then you will lose your grip surface

Magic eraser is the best cleaning pad I’ve ever found especially for anything white. I highly recommend using one for white sneakers! Only downfall is they don’t last long but for what they do it’s well worth it. It really is magic!

Magic Eraser removes some types of paint. I remember my buddy erasing some of the PS2 logo on the old system years ago. I'm not saying don't do this but use discression when doing so. Rubbing Alcohol is a lot safer and dries really fast. Especially the 90 percent stuff.
