FAT TIRE eBikes | Should You Purchase One?

In this video I share my thoughts about fat tire ebikes. If your thinking about buying an ebike, and don't know what to buy, here's my thoughts.

On this channel we test and review ebikes and accessories. Its our goal to help you find the perfect ebike. When we review an electric bike, we don't simply ride it once and make a video, we ride it for 50-100 miles to get familiar with all it has to offer, then we make a video. But we don't stop there, we will make follow up videos as we continue to ride.

I love my 20x4 fat tires
It’s all terrain represents freedom to go almost anywhere
Plus going around pedestrians on the grass
Priceless

This was a great review. I got 4 Small 14' Jetson Bolt pro's. Modded to a 48v battery & speed hack. All of them do 21mph. Its definitely a little sketchy with those tiny wheels.Very small but yet a Blast. I purchased through your review 2-20' Deer step throughs. The 4' fat tire plus heavier bike will equal a Much better & safer contact patch & that correlates to more confidence to go anywhere you want. Great review that has to be said 👍 👏

You can also go on snow and sand as well as the added benefit of a smoother ride from the fat tires' built-in "suspension"! Fat tires should be mandatory on the rear wheels of a trike, since putting suspension back there would be very difficult/ expensive.

hey I enjoyed the vid, Richard. Fat tire bikes are awesome, rideable anywhere. I got a question I’m struggling to adjust saddle for perfect centering. Any tips for unscrewing and aligning? happy riding! 🚲

Even if only on road, wider tires are just so much more comfortable. And that matters to
How tired you get. More so then the extra bit of weight or rolling resistance

As someone with no fat tire experience yet the thing that really stood out to me wasn't how easily you handle going off the sidewalk although it was clearly better than skinny tires. The thing that really impressed me though was how easily you got back on the sidewalk. The first time you went off and back on almost parallel with the sidewalk in my head I was screaming "No! You're going to crash when the front wheel make contact at that angle!" If you're a non-electric bike rider looking to save every gram possible and have the least rolling resistance then yeah, a fat tire bike doesn't make sense. For an ebike though there are a lot of advantages and virtually no disadvantages to fat tires so why not?

I prefer the 3 in semi-fat (pleasingly plump) tires over the skinny or 4 inchers. First time out today since Nov. legs hurting like crazy. Cannot give up.

I love it Richard! You are so right. There are asses everywhere.I run into them all the time when I am riding. Go for it, ride in that high grass. You are having way too much fun. Don’t ride into the pond, then you will have to face them Gators!
