In this Video I am restoring an old German pair of Knipex Pliars. I found this rusty old Tool in the Attic of my Garage again. It was completely covered in Rust and barely able to move but I still wanted to restore it as I knew these were high quality Pliars.
I started this Restoration with first removing the surface Rust with a Brass Brush but for most of the Rust Vinager was used.
After whirewheeling this Tool it already had a nice shinging surface but I wanted to try cold blueing in this Video.
I therefore degreased it with Ethanol and then applied the Blueing Solution with a tiny Brush. I am really happy with how it turned out It almost looks like factory new, I especially like the mat black finish on it and I now have another great Tool to add to my Workshop.

Very good restoration. No nonsense, no theatrics. Just honest work and skill. Keep it up.

It`s worth it to preserve such a good old quality - for another 50 or 60 years to work precisely ("knippely"). Wonderful restoration!
