Hi, I traveled to seoul a couple of months ago for 33 days. Now that I came back I left korean learning very abandoned, I feel like with the trip I overcharged and I needed a break tbh, idk if it was because I felt like I wasnt understanding much when I had interactions with people there or is it because Im burnt out. Either way I really enjoyed when I had interactions with locals and people asked me in korean things like how was my trip going and things like that although those things happened very few times it was what gave me joy. I need to get back to learning because I feel like Im loosing a lot of what I had already learnt, unfortunately

I was going to write this in Korean, but I am in Korea (Seoul) right now and jumping from one place to another very quickly. So my ability to think and write is limited.

Thank you for this great video! I have debated multiple times if I should give up. I always find a reason to continue. Last week I met a friend in person who I have talked to for nearly a year and connected well with her. It has helped show me a reason to continue.

But I have lost count of the times I have almost given up. Learning languages is not easy for me due to a hearing disability, and I been discouraged more times than I like to admit.

I hope you continue to be encouraged and make videos, as they are so great!

When I tried to do content creation i did it for a while then left, sometimes it hard to keep the rythm and it could easily lead to burnout. I liked making the videos that was important for me, the views likes stuff are just a plus nothing else to me. Social media reminds me of the concept surplus enjoyment by Lacan its something extra that adds no value really yet we can use that to evaluate or attach meaning to it and make it valuable, the problem with surplus enjoyment is that the main reason that truly fulfill us can be lost leading to a not very genuine feeling of joy and a perception based on numbers and symbols as the determinant of true value(ofc here capitalism plays a role too, as a mode of subjectification) but anyway i could go on im glad you are back 선생님 take care!!!
