Nya and Zane's sacrifices are the 2 saddest moments in ninjago.

Zane confronts the overlord/golden master knowing he's gonna probably die, and as his vitals reached critical he unleashed everything he had left to take him down as he reminiced about the wonderful memories he had with his father in his early days and the great ones he had made with his friends and loved ones, and sadly dies as he takes the golden master with him, returning peace to ninjago, as he even got a statue for protecting those who needed protection with Zane always being in their hearts

And Nya seeing Jay close to death and her friends injured decides to make the sacrifice of merging with the ocean to take out Kalmaar and Wojira, knowing she will lose herself and that she can never return from that state, and in her last moment with her friends she says goodbye and takes off into the endless sea, and the ninja along with all of ninjago at her funeral with Wu's words of what a wonderful person she was giving her life for those she cared about

of course i understand jay didn t get so much romantic time with nya, and no disrespect to jay(he s my favourite character) but i think the writters outshined kai too much

On season 3: I cried on Zane. I thought he was gone for good.
On season 4: I cried for Sensei Garmadon because that’s the last time we see him.
On season 6: I thought we might lose Nya. But I never give up on her.
On season 7: I was sad that the Ninja would loose Master Wu.
On season 8: It broke my heart to see Garmadon fight Lloyd on his evil side.
On season 10: I thought Cole would be gone into the darkness.
On season 11: Zane disappeared into the Never-Realm and I thought Aspheera destroyed him.
On season 15: I cried when Nya merged into the sea. And Kirby Morrow’s last scene. It broke my heart. It was hard to watch.

I'm literally crying after watching this. I.. didn't know about this... It's so sad. Jay's pure sadness just hits so hard. After everything they went through, everything they experienced, this is the hardest thing they've ever had to go through. And poor Kai. His sister, his blood, gone. Turned into a spirit. The entire team suffered a treaendous loss that day.
