Remember the Adventure Time X Regular Show Crossover?

Adventure Time and Regular Show are INCREDIBLE shows but a Crossover? It wasn't that great 😔

How wasn’t this made as a 30-60 minute long special?! This would have been a dream come true! Seeing Mordecai and Rigby interact with Finn and Jake would be the dream of every 2010s CN fan. Even if the two shows ended, there needs to be a least an official crossover. Why hasn’t CN made this?? We got Generator Rex and Ben 10, so why not Regular show and Adventure Time?

I do want to point out that I think you may have missed some of the main points about Ice Kings arc in this. I actually think it’s really clever since visually, Regular Show’s world looks fairly … “regular” for lack of a better word compared to the zany world of Adventure Time and Ooo. It matches a lot better with the time period Simon came from. The magic in his crown is wearing off while he’s there, so Simon is slipping through the cracks and regaining his memories, thinking they may have gone back in time since he was unaware of the portal.

Imagine If The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and Regular show had a three way crossover. It would be Legendary

Yeah I always felt weird about this comic. Like it’s fun but it could be a lot more. Were the creators of either show involved?

It’s like They got the basic ideas of the characters and went with it and it comes across as “you have to shut off your brain and ignore a lot of what both shows established” to get through it.

Rigby being season 1 Rigby is just annoying and the idea of him holding Mordecai back was done much better in the movie.

Finn having Scarlet? Presumably this means Mordecai is vibing with a 12 year old Finn better than who Rigby should be at that point in time and it’s just really weird. I could absolutely see Mordecai getting along with 17 year year old robot arm Finn who’s been through a lot of development and growth, he’s basically a young adult like Mordo and Rigby so why didn’t they just go with that version.

Finn and Jake being forced to dislike each other through some curse is just dumb and I feel the story could’ve progressed the same without it. Jake could’ve really came through and helped Rigby with how he was feeling, thus explaining why Finn and Mordecai are paired for most of the first issue.

Skips and Ice King got quite a bit of similarities going on im surprised those two had nothing together especially with Ice King being less insane.

Mordecai and Rigby hugging with Mordecai telling Rigby “I love you” just felt out of left field. Like even with season 8 Mordecai and Rigby that just isn’t really how they show affection in their relationship.

There’s a lot more to say but I feel like the potential of this kind of crossover could only work if it was animated and both teams were onboard

What annoys me so much is that they throw potentially interesting plot lines out the window, 2 of adventure times really heavy hitters (marceline and bubblegum) go crazy and start attacking people. I’d love to see that story but instead they’re somehow both taken out in a single hit practically, which also makes them seem really weak

I myself have read it a while back, and while I love, both of these shows, (although i prefer Adventure Time) this comic was really not good for me, there wasn’t anything exciting or groundbreaking throughout this whole gig, and the whole arc surrounding Mordecai and Rigby’s bickering is something we’ve seen hundreds of times in the main series, and it really annoyed me while reading this. The art style, too, is not very pleasant in my opinion, and I’m sure that there are some reconning here and there in which I can’t point out at the top of my head. The only good thing that come out of this crossover was the covers which were fun and very artistic but that’s pretty much it. never reading this again, this comic sucks! 👎
