Great review. Thanks. I first saw this car at Fully Charged UK 2022 Farnborough. When I got into it I simply said “Wow!”. I watched person after person get into the car - they all simply said “Wow!”.

I’ve had my Premium RWD version 2 and half years and I’m still blown away by the interior. The tech - Highway Drive Assist 2, Cross traffic alert and emergency breaking both front and rear, lane keep assist, auto perpendicular or parallel park, blind spot, adaptive cruise control and auto lane change all just work and are accessible through proper buttons. 90% of the silver work in the car is actually metal ( cold to the touch) and that patterned metallic is aluminium. It’s simply a beautiful, practical, hi-tech car-and the 5 years road side assist, 5 year OTA updates, 5 year servicing, 5 year connect services mean a very low on-going expenditure for the first 5 years - even 2 wiper blades replacements are included in the 5 year service. The valet serving/warranty is fantastic - replacement vehicle dropped to your door and yours taken away on a flat bed.

I’m hoping to keep mine a while - for low cost motoring in the first 5 years of retirement.

Great review, I am sold on this car I have had mine for 2+ years very hard to find any faults with this car, you didn't mention range if I drive mine in Eco I get over 300 miles / 500 KM on a full charge in the summer, it drops by about 25% to 30% in our winters on Vancouver Island Canada . As for a rear wiper not needed as long as you turn the rear window heat on the rear spoiler seem to keep the glass clean. Snow mode is there but first before you press and hold the mode button you need to go into the setting and activate snow mode then it will wok on the mode button it's also the same for the preconditioning mode . I have driven the car 35K miles / 55K km without any problems, here in Canada Genesis offer a really good service they pick the car up at your home and leave you a loaner then return your car when the service is done . The GV 60 is not a big seller here more people go for the GV 70 or GV 80 really because it has a more room for a family, would I buy it again yes 100% .

Great review! I really like the GV60, exactly as your test car is configured! Love the mint exterior color, the blue interior, and the lime trim!

The inside is really pretty, I love the finish and having proper buttons for lots of things.

Nice looking motor. Not mad about electric vehicles, but if I was to buy one the GV60 could be the daddy.

It hasn't got the beauty of a Kia EV6 but then nothing else has!

I bought the GV60 because it's the grown-up's IONIQ 5 N: it has the fun VGSS, boost, etc but in luxury form.

Android Auto maps now appear in the drivers display AND the head up display as well!

Would probably still take a Polestar 4 over it but it’s a really interesting alternative. Great review as always, thanks 🙏

Snow Mode:Push and hold the Drive Mode button. (On Sport Plus, it activates “My mode”, so repeat once.)

Lovely Interior Derek. Outside design not so sure. Are they really the Lexus of Hyundai/Kia or just fall short on quality?

Starting at €54k plus, which should mean the standard Kia EV5 SUV, with it's 400v architecture shouldn't be anywhere close to €50k, as it's not the premium offering. Would you agree?

Ps, less metal weave, more embossed, lol

Thank you. It is better looking inside and out than many at around £70k. That said it really does not set the heart racing and Ireland might be better spared it being on its roads. The other sort of £60k something I have seen reviewed in the last week or so is the MG Cyberster with 4WD, and that is definitely something I would rather drive. I would need to spring for the gold medallion and chest wig which might bring the total cost up to nearer £70k.

I had the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Project 45 (UK launch edition). I test drove GV60, but couldn't justify the cost increase over the Ioniq. I think it is 5 years Genesis Service. What was the full price for the model you tested with packs? I am replacing the P45 with an 5N. So not a GV60.

Is it even available in Ireland? I din't think Genesis are here are they?

It will need a rear wiper now that the Ioniq 5 is getting that. I drove this at Fully Charged in 2023: the rear view is compromised by the spoiler.

Interesting car. Does the finish justify thr price over other Korean offerings?

whenever you sit in the back you need to tell people how tall you are, if you're 6'8" the knee room is decent, if you're a manlet then it is bad

It's not a bespoke EV so it's compromised. EV6 much better looking and driving
