The 128 ld is the best trimmer I've ever owned. Has the power of a 4 stroke, lighter than most 2 strokes, and very well balanced. I'm gonna get another one. But I thrive on split shaft options in my gardening service. I switch shafts between edging and trimming and I love it. Plus I have a curved for backup. Gonna get the edger, just cuz. Nothing wrong with my trimmer edging skills. I'm the best at it. I just want it.

As far as mowers go. I have a 2006 Scott's turf master rear wheel 3 speed. Once again. Best one I've ever owned. Huge bag and 3 speeds. 6.5 Tecumseh. Very rare now. American made as well. Shits it and gits it. I'm small time . No x mark

You want to buy a husky but not that low end model, I would stick to either 223l if you can find one or the 525

Mr. Michael Borders, thank you for making and uploading this video. I learned more about the Husqvarna 128LD string trimmer. Thank you for the recording of your trimmer in action. (I've seen them in Lowe's and am in the market for my first gas powered string trimmer). Thank you again. God Bless. tonyd\.

Can you put a brush blade on this model??

IMO you would have been better off with an Husqvarna awd mower, i have that same 128ld and a 525l and love them both but my 725awd/bbc will climb a wall.Your incline would be a piece of cake for that mower!

Actually that bit about cleaning equipment isn't always true. If you over clean equipment with bearings an get them wet repeatedly you will see failures due to cleaning.

Are you kidding me! I only weed eat in shorts and flip flops! One thing I like about this trimmer is it turns the opposite way as my last one and I never get hit with rocks or debris anymore.

i had the 128l a few years back it was ok but the fuel lines rotted off of it after 3 years and the spark plug wire went out on mine i had to spend 70 buck of replacement parts to get it back up and running again then i had to clean the carb the year after mine was plagued with problems i got the 4 year extended lowes warranty and they wouldn't hiner it so i had to pay out of pocket to diy fix it my self so i bot a tanaka and it out lasted the husqvarna 128l i had and here latly 4 years in i had to replace the carb and the on and off switch on my tanaka and the fual line on it as well i guess you get what you pay for no these days great video how is she running today

My stupid self cranked down on the nut of the little tensioner and snapped it. Luckily there was still enough bolt to tighten it. It just hurt my pride a little bit.

Mine had NO instructions in the manual how to assemble.  Just pictures.

Mine didn't even come in a box. Wtf? Lowes just sells these on a rack on a shelf. No box, no tools, no assembly. It only had manual and oil in a small box on the shaft.
