Back in February of 2024, a 15 year old boy named Sebastian Rogers vanished from his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. His mother and stepfather believe that he left the house voluntarily, but they're also dishonest when it comes to just about everything else. “Put the dogs up” doesn’t necessarily have to mean “put the dogs in the room above the garage”; when I was growing up “put the dog up” meant “put the dog in his kennel” which was in my parents’ bedroom.
edited to add: I grew up in Georgia and the Midwest, so it may be a regional thing.

"I won't tell you how many shoes he has, but police confirmed they were all present" how in the world can someone make the number of *shoes* someone has sound so suspicious without combusting on the spot?

as an autistic woman, i think it’s entirely possible that katie, herself, is on the spectrum. it’s a heritable disorder and all too frequently overlooked in women. i wasn’t diagnosed until i was 28. the rocking back and forth, the lack of eye contact, and the seemingly inappropriate emotions displayed during their interviews are all symptoms of autism. i’m not saying that this necessarily absolves her of any involvement in sebastian’s disappearance, but details like this may seem suspicious to people folks who don’t have experience interacting with autistic women. allistic women typically do not mask in social situations, so when autistic women do, we can be seen as having something to hide. that said, this case IS suspicious af. i don’t trust chris at all, and the withholding of certain details about sebastian’s care on katie’s end is… concerning to say the least.

My side eye has been SO strong with the stepdad. I don't like to assume guilt based on vibes, but I just cannot believe he's innocent. At all.

As an autistic person i can say, the fact that absolutely NOTHING is missing is really suspicious. Most autistic people have a special interest tor some sort of comfort object, that if he had left willingly, he would definitely have taken with him. (When i was 13 it was my DS, i would never leave the house without it) So when you said his phone, switch and all his belongings were at home... that is strange

They lost me when Chris in one of his narcissistic soliloquy’s said “heh heh we were joking about how he always wanted to be a ninja and now - POOF! Gone!” … that is NOT what two normal, innocent people say about their missing child. He’s both overconfident and incredibly stupid to think people wouldn’t see the bizarreness of that statement. Edited to add he said this more than a week after his unmedicated barefoot stepson “vanished from his home”.

To answer why the police haven't called the stepfather out on his inconsistencies. In cases where the police have a strong reason to suspect someone they often withhold their suspicion publicly and from said person while gathering the necessary evidence.

This cultivates a false sense of comfort in the person and encourages them to do things like grant interviews to the media. That way, when the police are prepared to show their hand, they'll be laying out the physical evidence to a person who's voluntarily talked themselves into an inescapable corner. Half the leg work is potentially done, and the suspect's earlier confidence is torn away to such a degree that they're much more likely to panic during the interrogation.

I know they are responsible by one fact- they are more concerned about proving their innocence than finding Sebastian

We say "put the chickens up", "put the horses up" and "put the dogs up", and none of them live upstairs. Lol

I think what she meant by "put the dogs up" is like "put the dogs away" like how you would put something back on a shelf, but being dogs she puts them up in their crates

The CPS worker who accused Sebastian as lying has been fired!

Also in another interview Chris made a comment that when he's home the dogs go in the cage at night when he's home BUT when he's not there the dogs sleep with Katie. So, here's my question, why would he tell Katie to put the dogs up and go to bed if dogs sleep with her when Chris wasn't there?

Imagine withholding ANY information about ANYTHING when your child, Autistic child at that, is missing. Idgaf what questions you have for me, I am answering every question if there’s even the slightest chance it might help in some way. This is just crazy

As a child of abusive parents and true crime watcher, a big red flag is the parent saying 'Yes, ma'am/sir' while questioned about the abuse. Such parents won't ever show any respect to their child, but are such embarrassing bootlickers to any authority. When someone wants approval from 'important' people very badly, he has no energy left to respect those weaker than him. Poor Sebastian.

"so i've been told to check this case"
*a video and a half later*
"well i have information that i believe is pertinent and i'm already in contact with the authorities"

I don't care what anyone else thinks. The parents know something. Anyone who is a parent themselves can feel it. And your passion in these videos is contagious.

There’s just something about the parents’ whole vibe that makes me feel like something is very very wrong, like there is some unseen evil involving them

If my kid goes missing I'm telling everything about anything to anyone who will listen if it might even kind of help find them. This dad totally did it.
