The big club that could FLOP this season! 👀 | The Lowdown

On the latest episode of the Lowdown, Dougie and Michael are joined by Nieve Petruzziello to debate the clubs in danger of dropping off this season!

With the Premier League kicking off tonight with Man United v Fulham, and with the transfer window taking off in recent weeks, this season feels particularly hard to call.

Will Chelsea's chaotic summer set back Enzo Maresca in his efforts to take Cole Palmer and co. into the Champions League? Are Tottenham being overhyped following their signing of Domenic Solanke? Will Liverpool become lost without a specialist number 6 after losing out on Zubimendi? And are Man City no longer title favourites after another quiet summer?

Giving Man United the benefit of the doubt for injuries last season but not Chelsea makes no sense

Even if Arsenal manage to take points off City in games between the two of them, it means nothing if they can’t cut out dropping silly points.

Klopp often got the better of Pep and ended up only winning 1 against him.

Pretty moot point imo.

I like mccubbin but Jesus he needs to cut it down a bit. He spoke for 5 mins straight at one point

If I remember right, Rodri wasn't an instant hit at city, he took time to adapt. It's entirely possible that Gravenberch gets made into the 6 for Liverpool, seeing as there's already a lot of competition for the more advanced midfield roles

a few years ago, Dougie gave me grief for claiming he was cursed. Now he flaunts it with pride

Why are people underestiuing us just because klopp has left and slot has taken over were still the same club klopp left us in a good place.
And we're not like man u when they lost sir Alex and ten hag came in he had to revamp tye whole squad united back then was a mess from back to front, where as klopp left slot with a balance squad i can't wait for us to finish 1st or 3rd and prove people wrong.

Nieve has a balanced and informed opinion. She wasn't misled by some of the leading questions.

Maybe Arsenal will finally catch City but what would they do if Declan Rice or Saliba gets injured? Wait until the transfer window closes because Gundogan coming back is a great transfer and Kyogo an astute signing.

Arteta is getting the better of the guy who's won the league 4 years in a row? And 6 out of 7?

Just give Nieve her own show with a Joe Devine style host bouncing questions off of her, you’ll get more knowledge and better ratings than all the YouTuber nonsense

I mean it is Man U, on expected points they were 15th last year. I like their signings (most of all Zirkzee and De Ligt) but the midfield is just average. Football is all about the midfield, would suprise me if they get in the top 8

How can Leicester be a flop ? Even if they go down how would that be considered a flop, more than it would just be as expected.
