It's almost the same thing with this settings, but maybe my laptop is too weak, another nasty thing is that you can't hear anything in the editor, but only after exporting the video. It's still a good video editor and it'f free. I recommend at least trying it.

This did not work, and I have a good computer too. A 1080TI with a Ryzen 7 3800X, and the lag is still makes the program unusable.

This didn't help. I think the main problem is with Openshot. I have a i7-11700f water cooled cpu, RTX 3070, 16gb ddr4 and it still lags like crazy.

I have a fairly decent machine which can run pretty heavy and memory intensive programs but the newer openshot version keeps crashing before I could do anything so I have to install older version 2.5.1 it runs smoothly. (10th gen cpu, 32gb ram, very fast nvme disks, 8gb rtx 2060)

I noticed that Openshot "hates" one of my files, for no reason that I can see. I'm editing about 20 hours of gameplay, in 30 minute files all of the same type/quality. The caching/preview is laggy and exporting the project video took 10 times longer than the rest. It must be a problem with the actual file not Openshot, although it plays fine in VLC.

I'm on a 32GB Ram SSD RTX3070 I7 and it just started lagging today. Nothing helped. I'm just going to try and download an older version or get another video editor. Up until yesterday I could run 2 projects at the same time without problem. Today I can't even buffer more than 1 frame at a time. It's ridiculous.

actually i got a different problem. My preview is like too fast, . When I reproduce the project on the timeline, it goes too fast, the audio is also accelerated and then laggs and starts being fast again. Don't know what to do with that
