Ukraine War: NATO chief warns Russia over ‘dirty bomb’ claims

Any Russian strike against Ukraine over claims from Moscow its neighbour is developing a "dirty bomb" would be a "very serious escalation", warns NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg.

He made the comments aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush during a NATO training exercise in the Adriatic.

Western governments have already dismissed Russian claims that Ukraine could use a "dirty bomb" in the war as spurious and "nuclear blackmail".

Sky News' security and defence and editor Deborah Haynes was there.

On one hand, I think that there wouldn't be much of a war, at least not for long, if things escalate between NATO and Russia, on the other hand, Russia has showed such unparalleled incompetence that it really puts any weapons they have, and their ability to delopy them, into extreme questionability.
