The movie is 109 minutes long whereas the first SNL production had a duration 90 minutes of preparation. Would be so cool that excluding the opening, end credits aswell as the first SNL broadcast, the movie is precisely 90 minutes of the chaotic behind the scene from start to finish leading to the first ever SNL broadcast

SNL came along seven weeks before I was born. And I cannot wait to see the [awkward] birth of comedic gold. Just that last line about Big Bird was enough make me crack a smile...which is kind of diseased where Sesame Street was the first and only showed I watched those first couple of years of my life.

My friend is in the film! He worked on the film and then because he had worked at NBC and knew people who had worked on early SNL episodes he also became a consultant. Then because Jason loved his look he ended up in the film and he’s in the trailer.

Perfect timing for Saturday Night Live Season 50 on NBC. It's from the director of Juno (2007) and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). 50th season = 50 years and next year, it's Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary.
