Asian giants’ power struggle gives Nepal a new railway

A new #railway project moving ahead in #Nepal is seen as the latest example of how India and #China are backing infrastructure projects as they compete for influence with their neighbour. The Indian-funded railway connecting Nepal and India is expected to open soon, and meanwhile China is busy building two airports as well as highways and other roads.

I have read all comments. So my conclusion is
1. Nepalese hate indians but indians don’t hate Nepalese.
2. After seeing some comments i have come to know that Nepalese follows some kind of communist philosophy ( that’s one point for nepal’s increasing clossness towards China)
3. Nepal trying to test some new country ( they have tired with Indians because they are together for 70 years)
4.what is litracy rate of Nepal ? ( it’s question to you)

I think Nepalese are weak in economics
They should think about it if development is done by even your enemy you should accept that because development is development.
Even if Nepal tried to live without India than it’s not possible for Nepal due to geographical conditions ( they should blame god for this)
I don’t know weather china well through debt trap on Nepal or not but I think Nepalese should be aware of what’s going on in the world.

In Nepal, people have been brain washed with anti-India sentiments for years now. This is how politician gain popularity and patriotism in Nepal. Indian big brother policies towards its neighbors certainly did not help at all. Growing up in Kathmandu, I absolutely hated everything about India (Bollywood, Indian Cricket Team, Hindi music, Indian Channel etc etc), moved to US, made many Indian friends, studied lot about India (South India, culture, religion etc etc ) and it took several years for me to change my perception towards India. I do get pissed off when I see all these anti India comments cuz they they are dumb, uneducated and follow the propaganda. I hope people do more and more study and research and depend less and less on social media for their information.

Most of the hate is coming from Chinese side in comments. As an Indian i think we should have good relations, of course you are more prosper, developed then us but abusing is not an option

It's so terrible to see our neighbor 🇳🇵 is so dependent on other countries for almost everything. And most surprising is the fact that the people have also become used to for this mentality. They need a strong leader for their country

Why “compete” when both counties have to go through Nepal to get to each other? It is actually connecting China and India not isolating

Story of 2015 blockage :
I am from plain Region of Nepal(Nawalparasi).
That makes me terai dweller(madheshi) . The madheshi leaders are always talking about the problems of madesh. They just use brainwashed poor madeshi people and involve themselves in the the strikes. After that they get some ministries in Nepal government ( in every government our madheshi leaders are involved ) . When they are in goverment they never tries to solve the actual problems of my Region . The problems are dwary system, illiteracy, poverty and so on. Most of the leaders are landlord themselves. They are saying we are not getting 100% rights in constitution. That's total myth. I am studying engineering in one of the reputed colleges here in Kathmandu . Many of my madheshi friends are enjoying quota reservation for studying and in governments jobs too. while my friends from hill areas are not enjoying that scheme.
And about 2015 blockage was 100% done by indian government.and we the people of madesh suffered the most. Nepal army was actively present to give protection to the logistics. But indian army present on border never let them to pass. I have seen that with my fucking eyes. Only 2 or 3 border naka was under strikes ( and not that serious type of strike was going everyday) . There were many naakaas where single striker was not present, but indians never let the trucks to pass. But funny thing is Indian government never claim that . May be they just want to convey message that " India is big brother " to the neplease government. May be that was power show off.let me tell you one thing .I am a proud Nepali and never forget that blockade done by indian government.
(sorry for the bad english ).

Truly if we Indians and Chinese work together then nothing can ever stop us . We are both Old civilizations and both have faced the humiliation of colonialism. It's time to bring back the "Asian Age" and to show to the so called "superior West" that who's the Boss.🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳

Nepal was part of ancient India. It's not new that if india helps to Nepal it will effect china. china is a foreign country for nepal, and india is a home country for nepal.. it's fact.

I don't understand why nepalese are saying names to india. The video is about power wrestle between Asian Giants, and how it's affecting a small country squeezed in between them. And let me tell u guys one thing, even our poorest state Bihar can beat if u there's a war between Bihar and Nepal.

Nepalis will get a chance to travel to China on Chinese made train, and travel to India on Indian made trains. Then they will see the difference in technology. Lol

We should fence our border with nepal and make visa required for traveling. Let them be happy with china.
