RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. We understand it may not be for everyone, but here's to hoping you all enjoy and we absolutely love positive comments and feedback.

RE: LIVE VERSIONS vs STUDIO:
Check out why we haven't uploaded any live versions... yet. They will be coming, we promise!

I love how they gave recognition to CFNY-FM, a Toronto station, and the actual on-air talent at the time. CFNY's positioning line at the time was, "The spirit of radio" and they were early and regular players of Rush's music. The song and references always take me back to Toronto and southern Ontario in the mid-80s and 90s.

Neil in the Red Barchetta, miss you brother.

One of the prophetic lines in this song… but glittering prizes and endless compromises, shatter the illusion of integrity, yeah!

I always took the "hand gesture " as an analogy for the djs talking on their morning shows in between songs, and the commercials, or "salesmen."

One of my very favorite Rush songs ever and I was a young married Pontiac/Datsun Salesman in Baltimore with a baby girl when it came out and last week i saw that daughter in Md- she is 45 now!

It's a one-handed clap Geddy did in concert to get the audience to clap. Over the years the audiences would mimic him.

I love the green monster mask on Alex when they’re sitting at the table near the end. He put on that mask in a real interview way back when discussing the release of Permanent Waves. Excellent call back there!

CFNY, Toronto’s little radio station that could. They truly were the spirit of radio and Neil’s inspiration for this song.

Back in the early 80's, Geddy would often make the "talking hand" gesture at concerts during that part of the song. I know I saw him do it during the Signals and maybe the Grace Under Pressure tour as well in Atlanta.

Thank you so much for watching and appreciating this, both of you! Lovely to keep it as a surprise from Lex, too. I have watched and loved this video a few times, and it's brilliantly done. There are just so many references to their long and glorious career. A lump comes to my throat every time I see the empty drum kit with the dedication to Neil at the end. Beautifully concluded. Rush are a band for the ages. It may be a physical Farewell to Kings, but their music will live on.

Most influential song of my entire life. I was 14 when I first heard this song. I had an awakening that day. In the next few months the MOVING PICTURES was released and Portland was one of the first shows of the tour. June 20th I was there. They opened with 2112!
Kevin11-11 approved.
Happy 11-11 weekend to you guys. I hope it’s epic.

The video pays homage to the DJ's that got them on the air when they were an unknown garage band from Toronto.

The "lady DJ with the Rush album" was Donna was one of the DJ's who played a LOT of Rush music, even before it was considered to be "cool", and is credited with discovering them while at WMMS in Cleveland in 1974. Rush made sure to recognize her and she was at the their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. As always, RIP to the "The Professor"....this version of the song was made after his passing.

there is an animated video for YYZ. from the last few years. The video is set in 1981. Related to the album cover. There is a major glitch. Skydome was not built yet

PW was my first Rush tour and I was massively hooked. AFTK was the first album of Rush I heard and was totally blown away by the musicianship.
