Blood of Olympus- (Nico and Will animatic)

Hi! That’s an animatic practice I worked on lately, using Blood of Olympus chapter as a script.
This video contain spoilers, so if you haven’t fully read the fifth book of HoO, I must warn you before you start watching. For those who already read it, not afraid of the spoilers or just wanna watch my animatic, I hope you’ll enjoy it!

It makes me laugh that while reading this scene I forgot he was still wearing a bright coloured shirt...and no one questioned it. This animated reminded me that he was still wearing the bright ass shirt.

Sometimes I think Nico and Will's first canon interaction is one of the best "first meeting stories" in the series. Especially since the "We'll get along great" is so satisfying knowing their future.

Cecil and Lou Ellen are the most underrated minor characters ever, they have like two lines and a hundred words of 'screentime' each. I love the scene where the just STARE at Will and Nico and Will's like 'you can't talk your way outta this one' and Nico's like 'what? this guy actually cares about me and is also so annoying' and Cecil and Lou are like 'you seeing this????'

I'd like to point out: Will mentions "Doctor's orders" a lot. In the first Trials of Apollo book, he brings up a lot how he writes Nico's doctor's notes and all but one thing no one ever points out is that he isn't even a real doctor. He's the son of the god of medicine, but what real authority does he have?

Nevertheless, I enjoyed your animatic. Brings back fond memories of when I first read the book. Makes me so happy.

At first I was pretty sure that it was Nico. Then I noticed his shirt and I was like 'Oh, this must be someone else'. Then I realized which scene it is and realized that he was wearing a Hawaiian type shirt at the time.
