Kirk cousins leads game winning drive with less than two minutes left and no time outs, on the road in one of the most hostile environments in the NFL, and your take away is Kirk was terrible and he looks bad in the uniform. I don’t understand the thought process here

Cousins has like the 2nd most game winning drives since he became a starter. He has the single season record for 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives. And the largest come back in NFL history so like this isn't new, literally don't know what the hell you are talking about.

For everyone who is throwing out the Kirk Cousins stat it is very misplaced IMO. Im a Kirk fan, stood up for him for 8 years, said he is top 10! That said, those comeback stats were not coming off a major injury and on a new team, for the most part, he had not been good for 7 quarters to start the season. The most recent data is more important than historical data here IMO. Glad he pulled it off but questioning if he could in these circumstances is completely fair.

Historically, this is the kind of game that launches Kirk Cousins into a run. Atlanta is going to be dangerous if Kirk continues like this and Atlanta gels, gets in sync, and peaks mid-season

Playing not to lose vs playing to win are not the same thing. Ive seen it happen so many times. Resting on your laurels and/or sitting on your lead can be a big advantage for the opposing team. It puts them in the drivers seat. Momentum and confidence are real game-changers especially late in the game. Playing conservative can be the spark for the other team and dead weight for yours. Thats where good coaches and leaders step in and dictate the playstyle and attitude. These things can determine the last minutes of a close game.
