The issue is that being homeless just leads to more trauma (her recent attack and rape), which leads to more drug use, which leads to more mental instability. It’s a vicious cycle.

Rebecca was lucid here and mind was so much clearer, such an intelligent bright soul 😌

It’s rare to find someone so unstable and so bright at the same time. If Rebecca didn’t have a drug habit I bet she could have been very successful and made a ton of money.

Rebecca is such an intelligent and well articulated person whenever shes sober. I wish only the best for her in life.

Rebecca looks and reminds me of my brother that passed, he was so smart and handsome, he thought taking his own life was the only thing he could do to stop the hurt. Rebecca, we all love you and support you. ❤

Damn... Is this Rebecca actually relatively sober? Would be nice to see more of this side of them

Wow this was 2020. She's gone so downhill since this interview. There really is something about her. A spark. Mark noticed it right away.
PS I'm saying "she" to be respectful. Please don't do the usual "HE" comments. Many of you scream about free speech but when your buttons are pushed all bets are off.

Thank you, Mark, for reminding viewers of the Rebecca you’ve known for years. I think those who have recently become regular viewers, or who don’t remember this Rebecca, have lost sight of what you see in her, and so many of us do. This witty, highly intelligent, creative, sensitive, unique, precious, spirited individual is who you refuse to give up on. This is who I see, when you interview Rebecca today, because I know she is still trapped in her tortured, suffering body and mind. She is focused on the fact that she’s a woman trapped in a man’s body, which she certainly needs addressed. Yet, as you’ve tried to explain to her many times, no doctor will be able to see that struggle, until she accepts some insight into the more apparent struggle…that she’s a human being trapped in a brain that is focused entirely on getting and using substances that are destroying her body, and eroding her brain. She has a very real need for people to see Rebecca, the woman, yet people cannot even see the human being who is going through all this, because the most pressing question she presents is, “Is this mental illness or a substance use disorder?” The last thing most people who meet Rebecca consider is, “Is this a man, a gender fluid individual, or a woman?” That’s why it was so heartening, when you introduced her to Cosmo, because he is aware of the impact of being “othered, ” based on gender expression, and how those who go through this have often used substances to be comfortable being themselves, or to be able to entertain others to survive, when they may really feel heavy and hopeless (which, clients will tell you by avoiding you, is just a drag for them). I hope someone can get through to Rebecca, and convince her that drugs are what are stopping her from being who she wants to be, and communicating that to others. When she realizes that meth, alcohol, fentanyl, and whatever else she’s consuming (since you never know, these days) is not her friend, and learns to love herself, I can’t see anyone worth worrying about not loving her and wanting to help her be whoever and whatever she wants to be. There is so much love for Rebecca, because you introduced her to the world and she is a beautiful person, inside. I hope you, or Cosmo, or G-d, or someone can finally help her see that the drugs are the only thing stopping her from receiving all the love and opportunities she deserves. I believe you won’t give up on Rebecca, no matter what anyone says, and that’s beautiful. I hope Rebecca can see what a gift that love is, and begin to accept it.

Rebecca has to be one of the saddest cases on this show. Here is a person that would have so much potential. Seems so sweet, and kind, and likely talented and smart, but resolved to a life of nothing.
So, so sad

Damn. I haven’t ever seen this. This is truly the most stable and sane version I’ve seen of Rebecca. I hope they can get well and be the best version of themselves

It's 4 years later, he just got out of the psych ward and he's high already. Poor Rebecca

Gosh Rebecca looks so good here and relatively sane. The years of meth have done so much harm. I wonder if she will ever be like this ever again.

I'll keep Rebecca in my prayers, always. She's my favorite. Please, don't ever close the door on her, Mark!

It’s called Chemical Schizophrenia. Organic is when you’re born with it but chemical is due to meth and other drugs. I believe if he could stay off the hard drugs that he would eventually heal. Until he stays off the drugs, he will continually spiral. I dealt with a son like this that has had extensive therapy and that’s what the doctor told me. My son was 100% when he wasn’t using but as soon as he used he would go schizophrenic. It’s hell on all parties.
Remeber this mark, I moved my son5000 miles away from his drug friends. People were laces and things of bad happiness are not an environment that a drug addict can heal in. I wish Rebecca the best. My son is now 37, has a wife and two children but he absolutely cannot be around the same people, places or things.

When he still had the tiniest thought that he’s in control of the drugs.

What’s wild is that I just watched Rebecca’s final video and then this popped up. What a change. 😢

What an intelligent, well spoken young person. I see she has loads of potential. She's not an emotional rollercoaster like many are, she looks well put together, for living on the streets. She actually has her shit together in a ghetto tent city, imagine what she cld accomplish in a safe, stable environment!
Go Rebecca! I'm praying for you . I would love to see a gd success story, luv & respect from a 8 years clean, 47 year old Australian grandma
