So you need to build a road straight through the cut overtop the gold to get to the gold using rocks that are already available. If this were Parker's or Tony's crew, they would have just dug some ditches around the perimeter and installed a pump to dry out the cut in a few days. Todd is not a miner. Sheesh.

Well you see... If the Gold Count scale has 12 boxes, and each represents 55.4 oz, then all you need to do is multiply 55.4 by the square of the count of completed boxes, divided by 12, then they will have 3000.833 oz when all 12 boxes are filled. I'm sure the final remaining 32.1667 oz of gold will probably be washed out of Thurber's moustache in the last episode.

They never explained how the mud would "dilute" the pay. Mud could flow over the top of the pay, but I am nit sure how it can dilute the pay - wouldn't they just need to remove teh mud overburden? It was all kind of ridiculous IMO. But what do you expect from a Gold Rush xxx show?
