Netflix has a problem… see they forgot what happened to blockbuster. $20 fee in 2024 from $12 fee in 2020 and no sign indicating that they will stop raising their fees. Then not giving customers full access to catalogues.

Just saying, I will not be paying more than $20 for two screens at a time.

Like they had everything. Books, movies, shows, video games, VIDEO GAMES. Libraries are seriously peak, people just don’t realize it.

Well, in 2002 the Blockbuster in my hometown made it incredibly difficult to get an account, so I went to Hollywood Video instead.
One Day in 2004 Blockbuster mailed me a late bill for two movies that weren't even released on home video yet. So I had to go into the store and show them it was physically impossible, since both movies were still in theaters, and also I didn't have an account there
I started just owning all of my movies, VHS then DVD then blu ray. Now everyone has a streaming service, and you have to have 97 different monthly subscriptions to watch 1 thing you should have been able to buy 1 or 2 times and not keep paying them for it. Like, if I own the movie I want to see, why do I need to keep paying every month to see it? And then they'll just take it away whenever they feel like 'Oh, yeah, you're allowed to watch this if and when we say you can.'
It's the same with music. You legitimately pay money to support the content you want, and all they do is keep telling you 'piracy, people keep. Pirating, and it's your fault, so that movie you've been supporting the company for years to see? Nah, piracy. Is why. No other reason. Our shitty movie only profitted $10 million instead of the projected $10.5 million, so fuck you everybody that gave us $10 million, it's your fault that you didn't stop the pirates.'
I haven't watched any movies in over two years, has it caused society to crumble yet? Are the pirates still fighting the pirates? Won't someone please give me news of the outside world
