As soon as the crew recognised you, I knew this was going to be all good "crew experience "for you. The real experience would be when crew didn't recognise you.

In my experience people expect too much from Tata in air india case

The expectation that a airline will completely overhaul in 1 year or so is ridiculous

Give them till 2025 or so to see complete change in whatever way it happens

Aircraft urgently needs a refresh, worn/damaged panels replaced etc. Key difference with crew is their motivation; obviously keen to please, I hope their enthusiasm lasts. Great video as always.

Would strongly advise waiting for Air India to refurbish their cabins to get a more accurate image of the newly improved service.

Im fairly certain that if you werent a large youtube, the "soft" experience would be very different.
Honestly I think that once a host/hostess recognizes you, you suold also pay attention to how they treat other passengers, not just yourself. That would give you a more balanced view

Middle Eastern airlines became rich ferrying Indian passengers too and fro from India to middle east since they were allotted more quota compared to the other private arilines of India by ministry of civil avaiation. Since Air India was also dwindling in crisis due to mismanagement and burgeoning loss the airline such as Emirates, Qatar and Etihad took over its share of passenger as well. Hopefully Air India will again reclaim its lost throne as best full service carrier as it used to be in till 70's.

When I went on air india the staff were really nice.A passenger infront of me had cerebral palcy and was struggling to eat, but this wonderful flight attendant hand fed the passenger . The staff were great and kind but the only problem was that the infotainment screen wasnt working for the whole flight (10hr flight )

My Conclusion from this : EVERY TRANSITION TAKES TIME...at least 2-3 years...(minimum) All the best Air India. Keep up the good work. However they need new uniforms... I'm a designer myself and Tasneem Ali has done a fantastic job on the livery and brand identity in general. Its bold, refreshing and modern. Very India.

Still many indian passengers are depending on Emirates Qatar and some European airlines because of the bad experience from Air India by previous management but things are changing lot to change yes it takes time but finger crossed Air India is on the right track hopes to see Air India with or among the best Airlines

My friend travelled from the UK to India on an Air India last week. He was seated at the back of the plane. When it was time for food, by the time the galley trolley reached to his seat, the flight attendant told him all there isnt any food remaining. He had to travel without food for 9 hrs. How can an airline company make such a mistake after charging the passengers inclusive of meal service? There still requires a lot of improvement in Air India.

The staff seem to be making the best with what they have. Hats off to them. It’s better than the staff being as broken as the plane 👍

Amazing work once again, I love how you tend to give airlines a fair go even though you might have had not so pleasant experiences with them in the past... unbiased and fair journalism serving the consumer! Well done Air India!

I took an Air India flight last week (short haul, economy) and I was pleasantly surprised. Hot meal for a 1 hr flight as well as a very friendly and attentive crew. Same with the ground staff. I’d definitely book them again if there wasn’t the terrible airport security in India

Not the biggest fan of the new livery, but I'm excited to see Air India transform into a world class product. Blue skies to them, and I hope they kill it in the global stage.

I think it was nice that the whole crew showed up to help you with your passport incident. Not so sure on your service now that they knew who you were and what you could do for their PR. Glad you arrived safely. See you on your next adventure.

Love to see the airline back on track. It's not so easy to replace interiors of 10+ years old aircraft in a short time, but it is more than good to see the motivation and hospitality back on board! Great vid Josh!

Good to see the improvements. I am hopeful. I know everyone has an opinion, but I like the new branding that will be rolled out. Glad they kept a modernized version of the Maharaja. Curious, your destination was TLV but the map in the video showed DXB. B-roll from another video?

My recent experience despite not being a famous YouTuber was very similar. Excellent crew, warm, diligent, friendly, and very attentive! The hard product was still pretty dilapidated, though. Which I openly stated in my recent candid vlog of the experience... which in turn seems to have angered one Air India fan enough to actually send me a detailed *email* listing bad reviews of American Airlines that had similar issues to my Air India flight. Although not a single flight with all of the hard product issues I had on my one Air India flight.😂 but nevertheless, Air India is definitely on the right track!

Good to see AI on track to becoming a leader again; way back when, Air India was the Singapore Airlines of the 60s and early 70s. And I doubt any airline ever, before or since, could match the incredible cabin decor of the early 747-237Bs! Wild, baby!
