Episode 5
Spoiler alert: both lake deposits and volcanic rocks are definitely present in Jezero. But the origin of the rocks that the Perseverance rover landed on is not yet clear. This has implications for its astrobiology mission, that is, the search for ancient life on Mars.

Rover tracks are great but that boot print really got me man. I know it's only CG now but one day it's gonna be real.

I was hoping someone would take the information and translate it for the common person as after all, the investment belongs to all and NASA sometimes is remiss in getting the story out like you are. Very well done, Mars guy is really a solid addition to the story.

Raw and very good content - The Mars Guy introduction is great to give the viewer a good perspective how far and big things are on Mars.... Continue this work, great content!!

I really appreciate the use of hypotheses and “could” and “looks like” etc. showing us the “work in progress “ and that these are current theories rather than stating it like it was a proven fact. Research at work, fascinating insights!

Great video thanks for the detail! Having studied geology it's incredibly satisfying to see the same processes exist in Martian rocks 👍🤓 #subscribed

great work guys! can you explain the theory behind the fractured rocks around the rover? there are many as i'm sure you noticed. I have noted a few that look relatively recent, and some heavily eroded and all sorts of strange shapes... Thanks!

You know, when the mission scientists have spoken about the goal of distinguishing between volcanic and sedimentary rocks at press briefings, it was never clear why this is an important question to answer. Or why there’s a controversy in the first place. Without context, which someone who never had interest in this before like myself wouldn’t have had, it ended up leaving no real impression.
Thanks to this video it finally clicked in my head. Duh.

How long does it take to record a 3 to 4 minute video?
