I love learning about dinosaurs but I always get slightly depressed because we are unable to see them as they were. Would love to see and study all the dinosaurs behaviors and especially see how the meat eaters stalked and hunted down their prey.

I’d like to see a video on how Dino’s that live half in or around water hunted. Like the spino, sucho, Barryonyx, or Austro raptor.

the raptors claw wasnt a knife it was a hook or when kicking a spear point it wasnt a cutting tool at all it was meant for gripping and stabbing

0:07 "This massive ass claw!" XD Lol I did not see that coming. I was expecting something like "it's large sickle shaped claw", or "it's huge curved claw". "It's massive ass claw!" XD

I like to think the dromeosauride family as the big cats of the dinosaur kingdom

I think a lot of these animals were not in fact wiped out. While there is evidence of a mass extinction event and I totally acknowledge that, I also can't ignore the MASSIVE similarities between several dinosaur species and birds and reptiles still alive today. I think birds are descendants of the animals that survived that mass extinction. In particular the birds of prey and ones like the pigeon and dove where you see the same adaptations and you also see the skeleton is the same. For example in doves and pigeons you see the fused fingerbones of the dinosaur they once were in their wings still its clearly visible after all this time. You also can see it in many reptiles. Its really interesting tbh.

You should do a series of videos on some of the best known biomes or areas where many dinosaur fossils are found and what they were like back when the dinosaurs were alive. Not just the climate and vegetation but also what animals lived there. For instance, take the Hell Creek formation where a lot of North American dinosaurs are found, describe the climate and the kind of biome it was, tell us about the animals that lived there like the T. rex and what its prey and its competitors. I find that most dinosaur videos tend to focus on just a single species or genus in isolation and seldomly give the bigger picture about the environment it lived in, so it would be nice to get some videos that covers this sort of thing in greater depth.

Do a video on what therizinosaurus sounded like

I think the claws were for locking onto a brach to stand still and keep balance. Maybe they were great tree climbers who just ravaged the egg nests on trees

Why did the Spinosaur have a sail on it's back? Or why did the Iguanodon have a spike for a thumb or whatever it is?

I always imagined that they used it much like an Emu. There middle toe while not shaped like a Raptor is over sized and have been known to kick and disembowel threats, even humans with it. I could see a pack of raptor running up on a herbivore and kicking at it until its guts spilled out.

I suspect that raptors got the claw originally for climbing tree trunks, much like a tree climbing human uses strapped on boot spikes.. They are both located on the inside of the leg/foot for the best leverage to grip into the bark of the trunk. This would also help to promote feather evolution from downy and body conture feathers to flight feathers in these non-avian feathered dinos. Similar to small primates like Tamarins, or Bushbabies, and even the Lemur the Aye Aye they probably started out as small tree dwelling insectivores. They used the claw to break through the bark to get at grubs, and hunted other arboreal insects as well. Some specializing in lizards/amphibians, others in small mammals. Eventually evolving into larger plains running creatures as the environment changed and the forests thinned. Same thing happened in human evolution.

Even with the evidence of Terrible Clawed Predators not being a speedy, it doesn't take away the terror of it stalking you and going for quick attacks

So in real life, Dromasaurs were less like pack hunting dogs built for running long distances/endurance and were instead more ambush type predators like big cats?

i was wondering if raptor claws were used purely for killing or if they had other uses? for example could they have gripped branches and climbed trees like modern birds? could they have been ambush predators jumping down from treetops onto enemies and using their arms or feathers to glide a bit? also another use i was thinking was because I like to walk BAREFOOT and ive noticed that when im walking in muddy places, slippery slopes etc, I use my big toe to grip and point downwards into the mud so that i slip less easily. I wonder if raptors being ambush predators might have used them in soft soil and mud to accelerate quicker and to stop themselves slipping in mud.. maybe on riverbanks... swampy areas, or just wet mud after rainfall etc? or is it badly designed for this use due to it being sharp?
