He's obviously telling the truth, I like how when he describes Punks reaction to the Hangman promo and I literally can hear Punks inflection in the voice, he def would say it like that.

I don't understand how Dax is getting heat for anything he says on his podcast. He's always respectful and logical

Fans, at least online, did raise eyebrows on Page's part of this promo. I remember people saying it didn't make sense and seemed random.

Him saying he didn’t think Punk was showing any signs of souring on AEW before the ppv makes me think his torn tricep pretty much set him off an he just let out all his anger cause he knew he was out again

I def got a reaction out of that Page promo... i was completely lost... there were too many dots not connecting, and at the time i remember wonder if Page was turning heel or something and it was setting up for more story to come, but it never did... at least not on TV...

This podcast is dropping some real nuggets. I'm a Elite supporter since day one, love FTR too and really liked Punk throughout his ROH days and his AEW comeback. Fell out of my favor with his media scrum meltdown and the whole aftermath, but Dax his shedding some light on it which is great, hearing the inside perspective other than media outlets and camps speculation. Hope you recover well FTR and find the will to come back and give us great matches, but above all keep your health and be happy

It raised my eyebrows. The promo took a left turn and what Page was saying didn't make sense in the context of the fued we were watching. It was definitely out of place.

Hangnail’s promo on Punk was weird and confusing. Because Punk was there to help the company. F the Bucks, Omega, & Adam page cuz now Punk isn’t wrestling again. Punk knows the business and how to make things interesting. Punk put wrestlers over and made them look better.

Anyone with half a brain realized that Hangman's promo made ZERO sense in the context of their program

I distinctly remember that fans at the time thought that Page's side of the promo was strong, but that the way Punk responded to it made it seem super strange.

Adam Page went out there like he was cutting a promo on a heel or someone about to turn heel, and Punk no sold it in his promo and even made comments basically saying he had no idea what Page's problem was.

It was a good segment and we didn't hear anything more about it at the time, so we didn't think anything more of it. But I remember people commenting about how weird it was when it happened.

Living for FtR shoots

EDIT: All the naive fans who thought this Hangman Promo was just a "heel turn" thank God you do not book wrestling that makes 0 sense esp in a storyline with 0 build already

A lot of people were confused by Page's promos. First promo that he cut in the ring made it seem like he was turning heel. While Punk was very clear, I respect you but I want the belt, Page seemed like he didn't know what he was trying to say, it muddied thw whole storyline and then the promo he cut to Punk a lot of us were thinking 'eh, what!?' On screen there was no beef between them so it was baffling why a face would say that to another face.

Maybe Page should have turned heel, his promos came across that way, the match had no heat, he went into it just as the guy who's losing the belt to Punk and after the mat he was totally lost. A new whiny and entitled gimmick would have given him something to do. In reality he lost the belt and quickly became irrelevant.

Funny how Adam Page did all of this fiasco because of Cabana and Punk is out of TV since September, we saw Clown Cabana once (because Jericho is a bullshit artist) and he disappeared again😂
I wonder who they will blame now🤔
And by the way, more and more talents telling good things about Punk, does this really look like something that you would think of a "Cancer in the Locker Room"? I think not😬

I remember as soon as Page started that Promo, i got a bad feeling that seemed weirder beyond me being like "Oh come on, are they really doing this bit this early?" I knew it was just going to be a bad look for Page and it seemed out of character, especially after the very poor feuds he'd had as champ.

I watched that promo live and I caught right away what Hangman was trying to say and that's when I wondered if the Bucks camp weren't happy with Punk. The promo that's forgotten the one in Baltimore was even worse cause Punk wasnt there to defend himself, and event thought FTR was definitely in MD cause I saw them at a signing weren't book on the show I started to have suspicions. I was thinking that either Hangman Page was turning heel on Punk, he got booed out of Baltimore after all or was going into business for himself.

I don’t understand why anyone would think the page promo was off. Eddie Kingston ran a similar angle not long* before this one.

Hope this time off is helping you guys recover from your great year. Hope to see you back to wrestling when you guys are ready and that you will be better than ever.
I am not a fan of Punk. I was one of the few people who thought it would be a bad idea to bring him back to wrestling. It isn't that he isn't good. He is outstanding. It is that he allows any perceived slight to become a giant mountain. He had locker room issues in ROH and WWE. I figured it was only time until he blew up in AEW. And it is a shame because he does connect so well with the fans and has so much he can offer. But unfortunately it seems the issues he had earlier in his career have not been corrected yet. I wish him well in his life, but I have no desire to see him in wrestling again.
