FIA should revisit the Safety Car rules - it makes no sense to count the time and laps of the cars while the safety car is on the track (especially when all cars need to slow down and are not allowed to overtake each other). Their laps and timings should pause as soon as the Safety Car is deployed on the track and they should restart their incomplete lap and timings once they cross the starting line again after the Safety Car has been removed. Their timings on the incomplete lap before safety car got deployed (which they now have to redo) can be deducted later if required. Cars should be allowed to overtake others only after they cross the starting line once the safety car has been taken off.

The most stupid rule in the world that a driver can build up a thirty second lead which is nullified by the safety car being used. Increasingly so with the increased number of “street style” circuits with no run off area where there WILL be incidents requiring the safety car.
Cars have regulators to control their speed in the pit lane….why not the same under the safety car so positions and spacing remains the same?

what do you think about today's situation? Is it okay for the FIA to let only a bunch of cars unlap themselves and leave others? Like in this case they may have thought, to clear traffic bw Max and Lewis to have a final lap fair race.

A safety car does a extra lap before his lights go out so lap cars that were allowed to unlap themselves can catch up to the back of the pack again before the race starts, was that rule changed? You didn't mention that.
