Retrieving events from another Zabbix server is something I have needed for years. I created such a capability by using the API to get events, then send them via text files from ship to shore. I imported the events on the shore side from the transferred text file via zabbix_sender. I worked well, but with some problems, such as not being able to acknowledge the remove event. I have since abandoned it because the ship's internet became fast enough to connect a web browser directly. Yet, I would still like such a capability because it would save bandwidth.
