I am surprised that Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2 works on your Windows 7-machine. I used Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2 to my full satisfaction on Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP, but was unfortunately forced to use another IDE since Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2 refused to work on Windows 7 and on Windows 10. :-(

I now use Geany, which is also a great IDE (especially for Linux machines), but I still miss Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2.
