I live in an old, haunted house, and I've learned to blame every noise on the dogs or cat...it saves a lot of getting out of bed, turning on lights and trying to figure out why all the cupboard doors are halfway open, or the tv remote is in the dishwasher...
We did that for years and years...
Now, we just yell, "settle down!" and go back to sleep, even when all the pets are asleep on the bed with us. It just keeps us from being scared or upset all the time....

I didn't hear "laughter" in the basement clip, although I saw an orb or two.
Basements make weird noises, plumbing, pipes, and some appliances are down there. Houses settle, air gets in the lines, automatic pumps, water heaters, rodents in the walls and under the house. Some of those noises are just as scary to a homeowner.
Way too many variables...

Aliens have managed to figure out travel across vast distances in space, but still have to have their headlights on. My conclusion; Intergalactic Police fine heavily for headlight violations!

I'm not scratching my head. Kids toys do this all the time, after having been played with, they continue to make sounds or light up after they have been left alone for a certain amount of time. All he had to do was know the timing and second of all, NO BUTTON IS PRESSED! So if a ghost pressed the button, the damn thing would move.
